Sebastopol (No. CA) Documentary Film Festival March 24 & 25
The Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival has chosen "Crows of the Desert - A Hero's Journey through the Armenian Genocide" as an Official Selection! Screens in Sebastopol March 24 & 25! This award-winning documentary has century old multi-cultural themes involving Christians, Druze, Arab Muslims & Jews and is of great historical interest as to: the Middle East during World War One, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince Faisal, Hussein El-Attrache, Sarah Aaronsohn, Brits fighting on camels in khaki shorts and kilts (!), Genocide Scholars and those interested in century old archival footage. It also features an amazing musical score by John Massari. Produced, Written, Directed by Marta Houske. Q&A with filmmakers to follow 3-24 & possibly 3-25! Yerevan, Armenia Premiere Screening! Very pleased our documentary is an Official Selection of the Sose International Film Festival! Screens Nov. 21, 7pm Naregatsi Art Institute in Yerevan. SCREENING Georgia, Feb 28, Film Festival
"Crows of the Desert" is an official selection for the Ogeechee International History Film Festival! This is the only open submission, juried, international cinema program of its kind. OIHFF received an unprecedented number of submissions this year, which made competition particularly steep. Now in its fourth season, it is also the longest-running such festival in the world.
